Jay is very knowledgeable about current real estate trends and practices, the local area and surrounding counties, and what is important to me as a buyer. Jay's real estate expertise is important, but I found through the journey is selling my home and buying another- that is he a 'stand-up guy'. He has integrity, believes in people finding their happiness and assisting with that, and has zero false pretenses.

I selected Jay because his social media marketing is always on-point. He mixes humor with facts and it's memorable. Jay is a hometown guy who cares about his clients and not just the sale. I had Seller's remorse within one week of being in contract, when I could not find a suitable home. I'm sure Jay was naturally disappointed, but his words and actions were always positive. Eventually, I found a replacement home and Jay represented me for that contract in an excellent manner. I will recommend Jay to anyone buying or selling their home.

Because we had Jay when we bought this house in 2017 it was import to me to have Jay help us again. My husband and I live in Florida we didn't know about what the laws are in Ohio. In 2017 we needed so much help getting things done from down here,Jay got us all the phone numbers that we would need to start a new house up north. I was looking for Jay when we first got to Ohio to sell the house, it took about a week to find Jay and did after awhile.

He listened to our concerns and opinions on selling our property and gave his honest feedback. His team did a great job with photos and video highlighting our house and property. We felt comfortable with Jay and appreciated how smoothly everything was handled. Working with Jay and Key Realty was an excellent experience. Jay walked us through the entire process of selling a home. He was professional,quick and efficient. We were relocating out of state and he was able to close the on the sale when we were ready.

Would not use anyone else but Jay Mattlin. Jay was beyond excellent to work with. He worked hard to find available properties within the criteria we gave him. He called us as soon as he knew of new homes available and was always just a phone call or text away, when we found property that we saw first. He kindly dealt with all the text and calls we made with openness and a sense of humor.. He was always smiling and happy and he was like dealing with family. Our home search was through the winter months and we were out in all kind of weather, and Jay never complained. Right after we closed Jay gifted us with a basket of home care products as a thank you gift. I would recommend Jay to anyone looking to buy their first or next home.

Jay was great to work with since we first reached out to him. From that conversation forward, he was always very prompt in answering questions/scheduling things that he could. He always found a way to make time for us when we would want to look for a house within that day (with the crazy market… you had to be there that day lol). After we found a house, and the offer was accepted, Jay was very helpful in navigating the process, by having great resources for us to use, as well as helping us when we had to change lenders. All of this was done very professionally and Jay was clear in communicating what he could and couldn’t help us with.

Jay was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process he was always very responsive and always tried to help whenever he could. As a first time homebuyer, we really needed someone knowledgeable and someone to guid us especially in the housing market we are in and Jay over-delivered.

In addition to serving all persons, more and more LGBTQ+ persons are moving to Lancaster and he will be the “go to agent” for people of our community. He’s sharp, energetic, intelligent, decent. and HONEST! He actually listens to the client, accesses their needs, and works to make THEIR Real-estate realities happen! He’s not just in it for HIS commission, or to move a property, or get another award to hang on his wall. He has integrity and wants his clients happy and content with their Real-estate transaction. Rare these days in any profession—rarer still in Real-estate agents (hate to say it).

Jay was fantastic! We had spoken to a few other realtors before we worked with Jay. The other realtors were not punctual, and we lost out on opportunities because of it. Just days into our home search with Jay and we were in contract! He walked us through every step of home buying, and made sure we received updates. He helped explain our appraisal and inspections, and gave good advice every step of the way. It was a seamless, streamlined process. We felt like we could relax and trust him to handle it, unlike with the realtors we tried before. Honestly, cannot say enough good things about him! Jay is very intelligent, friendly, and keeps an open line of communication from start to finish. His attention to detail is impeccable; he will proactively let you know of anything that’s easy to overlook, as he doesn’t want you to have any “surprises” that aren’t pleasant in the future. He treats you as an equal and a friend and is willing to explain the process of purchasing, always with patience and your best interest in mind. Jay will ask you to do two things: Provide him with your pre-approval letter and tell him what you want most in a home. After that, you really don't have to do anything. I know that last statement is not entirely true, but it feels that way. He covers everything! He answers all of your questions. He takes fear and uncertainty out of the process. This allows you to relax and enjoy the entire experience. He gave me a book at the first showing: "The Ultimate Home Buyer's Guide", by Jay Mattlin. This became a valued reference guide. Bravo!! Take the time to read it, often. Jay is with you every step of the way. From the first showing to the last. Putting in an offer. Explaining every detail of the contract. Attending the home inspection. Negotiating a price reduction as a result of the home inspection. Providing a timeline for your reference during the process. When you are on this journey to purchase a home. You soon realize, you have a team: mortgage broker, insurance agent and your realtor. Jay is the team captain. Yesterday, this single woman became a homeowner. I could not have done that without Jay Mattlin.

Jay is an amazing realtor and paid very close attention to our wants and needs. I’ve known Jay Mattlin for a while personally, but I’ve never actually worked with him professionally. I cannot thank Jay enough for everything that he did during my home buying experience. Jay not only helped me through the technical, but the emotional side as well. Being a first time home buyer, he understood my needs extremely well. I had a lot of random scenarios and questions. Some a little ridiculous, but Jay was available almost at anytime when these inevitably popped up. Overall, this experience was made better by having an experienced, professional Realtor.

Unfortunately the reason for selling our house is because of a marriage separation. As anyone can imagine this situation required some extra understanding and care. Jay was amazing throughout the process. He was organized and professional from the first contact. He was kind and patient when things got tense. Selling a house is difficult enough on its own. But I can’t imagine going through the situation with anyone but Jay. He was the very definition of rising above and beyond. I would never go with anyone else.

Jay went above and beyond the call of duty with our purchase. We closed out of state and Jay drove 3.5 hours to Kentucky just so we didn’t have to close alone. Jay also attended all inspections, and walk throughs in our absence. It was almost like he was buying the home for himself!! Jay was very easy to get ahold of at any time of the day. He was very quick to answer any questions, and kept a very open line of communication. Jay was very informative with the whole process and made the entire purchase very easy. I would recommend Jay Mattlin to anyone looking to buy or sell a home!

My family and I relocated to Ohio from out of state. We essentially had one day to come up to Ohio, look at houses, and make a purchase. Jay researched HOA requirements and provided us access to our own MLS search app so we could narrow down our search prior to our trip. He went out of his way to explain our situation to the selling agent of the home we wanted to buy in order to get us the best deal and get items noted on the inspection report corrected before purchase. Since we were relocating from out of state we required help form Jay that most clients probably would not. The things I liked and really appreciated were: - He had a list of homes ready to visit with appointments scheduled in advance of our pre-transfer trip. If a home sold before we arrived he replaced it with another on our list. - Since we were out of town he offered to tour homes for us if we needed him to. - He attended our home inspection for us. - He Face Timed us when he completed our pre-closing walk through. - He went above and beyond and drove to Louisville for our home closing to ensure it went smoothly. - We also liked, and got value from, the literature he provided to us about buying and selling at the beginning of the process. - He dealt with our very unresponsive relocation company without complaint.

Very attentive to our needs to find the perfect house. Was always available for any questions we had and showed us numerous homes. Very friendly and knowledgeable of homes in the area.

It took me a long time to find my home and Jay was more than patient with me! I had a blast and found a house I Love thanks to Jay.
