The Harner Award was developed to recognize REALTORS who make extraordinary commitments to improving the quality of life in their communities.
It is designed to honor an individual who has demonstrated outstanding participation in planning or implementing community service projects and for their dedication and service through volunteering in the community, to make this a better place to live.
I have always admired the Harner Award. I'm always anxious to see who wins it each year because we have so many REALTORS that do so much for their communities. I'd imagine it is difficult to pick someone each year.
I was extremely blown away last night at the Lancaster Board of Realtors first in person meeting since pre-covid to learn I was the 2020 recipient of the Harner Award. I am so honored and humbled. So blown away that I was speechless which we all know is rare! I do a lot in the community but I do it because I like to, not to be recognized for it. Nonetheless, I am extremely grateful to receive this award. My life's motto has always been "do what you can, with what you have, when you can" and that's how I live everyday.
